Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan was created with a mission to meet the aspirations of a newly independent nation ravaged by a cruel partition. Inspired by the heroics of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and high ideals of Unity, Faith and Sacrifice, the founders set up the school to educate the masses who shall contribute to nation building. But as time changes, context changes but ideals must not. Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan Alumni was created to connect the glorious past of the school with the present so that the strive for excellence continues and the Vidyaniketan continues to attain new benchmarks of excellence. It also offers an opportunity for the alumni to connect to its roots and revive the nostalgia of pristine days. In short, the raison d’tre of NSVA is not only to relive the old glorious days of NSV but also to strive to ensure that it continues to shine in its glory.
The anthem that flows through our veins
The anthem of NSV evokes a powerful emotion in all ex-students of NSV and connects them to their
roots.
Inspired by a similar song for Shantiniketan, Sri Hirendra Nath Nandi wrote the school anthem.
It is a soulful rendition of the connection each student feels for the school and also his
inspiration
for the high ideals for which Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had laid down his life for
nation.
